I for one was ready to step out from behind the curtain, shower or otherwise, but that British Grandma thing really got my goat. You should know better--I am fine with abuse, but plz, no brits ref's on my lineage or my ma & da will roll over in their graves (or urns as the case may be). You should also be careful or the next thing you know, you'll be nominated for PM (ie, attempting to help "right" the ship).
I for one would accept that in a heartbeat; I think that you and Ring should be "co-PMs" (Prime Ministerettes?) with absolute power on deletion/regulation.
But, no one would go for it, I fear. Regulation, rules--guidelines; anal retentives like me thrive on that crap. What's pathetic is those that think any hint of such is some huge constitutional issue, blah, blah, blah. It's just a fricking Forum on the web.
So, I can go either way (I've painfully learned to ignore), but frankly, would prefer the highly regulated sort of Forum even if it metamuciled 95% of my posts off the Big Board...oh...hmmm, nevermind.
